At Easter there was plenty of space!
Some people buy HDD's if they'll need spare space, some just miss to clean their /usr/portage/distfiles directory ... for years. So I checked out eclean (gentoolkit package) and made myself comftable with eclean-dist -d -t1m -s50M -f which cleans everything except installed, less than one month old, bigger than 50MB or fetch-restricted packages.
So my late Easter egg was a huge one: Total space that has been freed in distfiles directory: 5.3 G! If you want your own, remember what you've just read and check the eclean man page.
EDIT: And once again 1.4 G freed six months later!
